Scottish Amicable is planning a retail development, and hopes to reach an agreement with Littlewoods for the anchor store. However, there remains an overall lack of attractive retail property in the town. The retail property sector in Dorchester, England, could be negatively affected by strong developments in Weymouth, with which it tends to be in competition.
