In a spin
Article Abstract:
Some agricultural land in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, is being developed for the residential market to cope with the demand for houses. Observers point out the demand for housing, due to the relocation of business personnel, will keep prices rising in the near future. It is estimated the price of houses will increase by 26% in 1998 following a 38% rise in 1997. House prices are expected to increase by less than 10% in 1999 because the market cannot cope with ever rising prices. The government is trying to help first-time buyers by giving them tax breaks for properties in certain areas.
