Invest with success: where are the future investment opportunities in the US lodging industry?
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of past market trends and business cycles of the real estate business will improve the success of future investments in the lodging industry. Occupancy is an influential factor that regulates the rental rates and revenues of hotels. An increase in supply of hotel rooms will decrease the rate of occupancy while an increase in demand will improve the rate of occupancy. Occupancy and demand is affected by economic changes and business activity. The factors that affect specific lodging services should be evaluated to determine the future feasibility of such operations.
