Article Abstract:
The growth in the UK housing market, created by the need to develop brownfield sites, could be very favourable for real estate development industry. A number of companies have had a difficult time in finding investment despite making good profits in 1998. Some of the firms are expressing concern over the housing market yet it has been identified around 4.4 million homes will be needed in England and Wales by 2006. It is predicted the weather conditions will continue to be more extreme yet the UK government have cut the amount of money being spent on sea defences.
