Kent's Gallic invasion force
Article Abstract:
Many French companies are establishing a presence in Ashford, England, where costs are considerably lower than in France. The town is also attracting companies from the US and the Far East seeking to service both the UK and continental Europe. French companies are particularly interested in one-room office units of 250 sq ft, although Allan Guarantie has taken 958 sq ft in English & Overseas Properties' Charter House in the centre of Ashford. French concern Fiprom is also to take space at Charter House shortly.

Scraping the barrel bottom
Article Abstract:
There is currently very little office space available in the West Midlands region of the UK. Experts believe that this problem will force occupiers to look at locations that they previously would not have considered. Despite the strong demand, most developers are not willing to build speculatively, as they do not believe that demand will remain high. Occupiers willing to be flexible will still find out-of-town accommodation, but the size of requirements for out-of-town locations has begun to rise.
