Lack of new properties could trouble recovery
Article Abstract:
New homes are still extremely popular with house purchasers in the UK, according to estate agents. However, there is a shortage of new homes, and this could prompt potential purchasers to abandon plans for moving house. The recovery in the housing market is still very weak, even though house prices have been rising since late 1995. It appears that many vendors are planning not to put their house on the market before prices rise much higher.
