Louisiana's prime location by the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi River has made it a choice site for oil refineries and industries that depend on sea transportation of bulk products. The state's legislators have also amended its liability laws and created attractive tax incentives to businesses. The state has also formulated an economic plan that emphasizes the provision of quality education to its people to ensure a pool of quality workforce.
