Market pointers
Article Abstract:
The Auctions Results Analysis System (ARAS), established in 1992 by Jones Lang Wootton auctioneer Richard Auterac, is to be relaunched in Jan 1999 in conjunction with IPD. ARAS provides details of each commercial sale at auction. It will offer IPD the opportunity to analyze a transaction-based data set and to move into secondary property. Auterac believes that ARAS proves that auctions are a proxy for developments in the private treaty market.
