Marketing mortgage refinancing: suggestions for enhancing borrower choice
Article Abstract:
Refinancing can be worthwhile for both borrowers and mortgage brokers even if the 2/2/2 rule is not met. To sell refinancing to homeowners, brokers should devise a systematic and well-thought-out marketing plan that will allow them to present various alternatives to homeowners even though the overall rate reduction might be less than the traditional two percent. In addition, traditional taboos such as accepting a refinancing plan that results in higher monthly payments might be considered.
