States are using new economic forecasting models to determine more precisely the effects of providing incentives to new corporate citizens. The tools are used by different institutions that include state and multi-county government agencies, universities, non-profit institutions, private consulting firms and others who are interested in determining the advantages and disadvantages of important economic changes.

The traffic congestion problem in New York-Ontario border has prompted the authorities to come up with a number of infrastructure projects. The increase in trade between U.S. and Canada is one of the reasons for such traffic congestion. Many industries located near the border for the convenience lost the logistics advantage because of the congestion.
