UK property company Brixton Estate has appointed Tim Wheeler as its new chief executive after Tim began working for the company in 1985. Wheeler has a formal training in quantity surveying and has also worked on the acquisitions side of the business. Brixton Estate is valued at 443 million pounds sterling in 2000 and has an active portfolio of over 1 billion pounds sterling. Wheelers mantra is good things will only come to those who work very, very hard.

Yellow colours storage concept
Article Abstract:
Nick Vetch and Philip Burke, formerly of retail warehouse specialist Edge, have launched Big Yellow Self Storage, a self-storage chain backed by TR Property Investment Trust. The company, named after the warehouse it occupies at Staples Corner, London, is one of a players attempting to import the concept from the US. Big Yellow, so far with four sites in greater London, plans to open more centres across the UK.
