New brand at brewery
Article Abstract:
A number of brownfield sites in the London boroughs of Ealing and Brent have already been developed, with work on a site at Chase Road due to be started. The demand for second hand office space is buoyant and serviced offices, in the area, are also popular. Firstcentral will be a new type of business park. It is being built on a 60 acre site in West London, England, and is due to be completed in 2007. Some 1.25 million sq ft of office space will be constructed which will include the Guinness PLC company headquarters. Guinness owns the site.

There is currently very strong demand for office and industrial accommodation along the M42 corridor in the south Birmingham, England, region. New developments include around 32,515 sq mt of offices at Blythe Valley Business Park, which will target B1 uses, and the development by National Mutual Property Services of 4,887 sq mt at the latest phase of Trinity Park. There is already a shortage of supply in Solihull, and this could spread to Bromsgrove, Redditch and Droitwich.

Article Abstract:
Redundant office buildings across the UK are now being converted and put to a range of new uses. These include student accommodation, which is in greater demand as the higher education sector expands, hotels, residential accommodation and research and development facilities. For a residential conversion, the best office buildings are those constructed in the 1960s, which generally follow a regular shape and grid.
