Only members may access MLS
Article Abstract:
The ruling of a federal court in Jay Reifert v. Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is discussed. Reifert tried to acquire MLS without becoming a member of the Realtor Association of South Central Wisconsin. However, there is a MLS requirement that only members of the association can participate in the MLS. Reifert sued MLS alleging that such link violated antitrust law. The district court gave a decision in favor of MLS.
