Passage to prosperity
Article Abstract:
Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, England, is well-known for the ship-building industry which has recently received a boost through a number of investments. The retail trade has responded to the improvement in the economy, with many new retail businesses moving into the town. Answering back
Article Abstract:
Some call centre operators are beginning to be attracted to South Yorkshire, England, especially to the region's enterprise zones. Some observers believe that establishing call centres in enterprise zones may not necessarily bring long-term benefits, especially as the cost of labour in a call centre is much higher than the cost of the property. Property agents report that there is a shortage of space in the region to accommodate larger relocations.

Turning back to the town centre
Article Abstract:
Office space in Preston, England, is located in the docks area, town centre and out-of-town sites, according to Storey Sons and Parker's Paul Dobson. In recent years, larger spaces in out-of-town locations have been favoured for their modern buildings and parking space. However, a return to the town centre is being predicted following Halifax Building Society's recent design-and-build plan.
