Property transformed
Article Abstract:
Both property owners and tenants believe that the main reason for refurbishing office buildings is to attract new tenants and boost yields, according to a survey of 326 senior property executives from major firms. The study, sponsored by refurbishment specialist Connaught Group, found that tenants thought that new IT needs of potential occupiers was a motive for refurbishment, while property owners tended to focus on the cost effective nature of refurbishment for attracting new tenants.

Property and low inflation
Article Abstract:
It is suggested that attitudes to property would change in response to low-inflation. The three reasons for this include: the fact that sustainable economic growth requires low inflation or price stability; low inflation is being sought worldwide by monetary authorities; and low inflation could have major implications for a variety of property market players. The entire speech delivered by Pen Kent to the Association of Property Banker's conference is given.
