Resolving real estate tax certiorari disputes by arbitration
Article Abstract:
The use of arbitration could prove to be beneficial in the resolution of property valuation disputes, but only a few US states offer such an option. The current resolution system, which would be used when an owner feels the need to challenge the government's appraisal of the owner's property, is inefficient and costly. In the US, only Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Georgia and West Virginia allow property owners to use arbitration to settle valuation disputes.
