Local property agents in Oxfordshire, England, report there is a shortfall of industrial properties. Some speculative development has gone ahead in Banbury, whilst in nearby Bicester there are few new industrial buildings. Very few speculative industrial buildings have been built in Oxford due to the strict planning laws. There are few vacant sites yet developers are reluctant to build on land they already own, as industrial rents remain low. There is plenty of available secondhand space.
