Article Abstract:

Hillier Parker Property Researcher Russell Schiller suggests that although research is a very important tool in planning a company's future it can cause difficulties if the researcher has unpopular information to relay. Schiller's rent index caused an uproar in the media when it was first published in the Investor Chronicle during 1976. Schiller feels researchers must be aware of not using data collected for one project on another. The work of the researcher in the UK has grown continuously since the 1970s and by 1997 there were over 500 members of the researchers society.
