The future is unconventional
Article Abstract:
Local agents suggest the number of deals for office space, in Bristol, England, during the first six months of 1999 have not met expectations. Other agents point out occupiers are becoming less interested in the cost of property but are demanding shorter and more flexible leases. The centre of Bristol is increasing in popularity. Although there is some concern plans to introduce road tolls for the city may prevent firms changing their location. Orange had experienced some problems in finding developers who are willing to fulfill their needs.

Grey Street in colour
Article Abstract:
New office development in the centre of Newcastle, England, is very difficult because of inadequate parking facilities, a large number of multi-owned listed buildings and its location on a hill. There is some speculative office building on enterprise zone land on the out-skirts of the city. Some office space is available in the city but it is of poor quality. The city council has placed a compulsory purchase order on an undeveloped site located nearby its urban renewal project at Grainger Town.
