Towns lose out in a Merrytocracy
Article Abstract:
The Merry Hil Centre is a retail development in the West Midlands region of England. The center has had a major impact on retailers in the nearby town of Dudley, while Walsall has developed its city center through its Town Wharf scheme which may be expanded. Speculative development for offices has not been carried out in the Black Country region, and large companies tend to locate in Birmingham, nearby. Dudley has developd some offices, built by Richardsons close to the Merry Hil Centre.

Distributors eager to get on the fast track
Article Abstract:
The market for industrial land in Dublin and the surrounding area is showing signs of considerable expansion. It is being particularly boosted by the construction of the M50 orbital motorway. Most demand so far has come from owner-occupiers, and there are already indications of a boom in distribution warehousing.
