The National Assn of Realtors (NAR) is lobbying for several bills of interest to the industry. NAR activists will monitor the fate of bills related to the flat tax and sales tax, capital gains tax reductions and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act in the 106th Congress.

Real estate agenda still facing Congress
Article Abstract:
The NAR has lobbied for several industry-related bills at the 105th Congress. Legislative proposals of note include an increase in FHA loan limits, online copyright bill and stricter rules for home inspection which are opposed by the NAR.
