Unfinished business in Docklands
Article Abstract:
The extended Jubilee underground train line between the Docklands in London, England, and the West End of London will open in 1998, with the London Docklands Development Corporation (LDDC) planning to complete its withdrawal from the Docklands area at the same time. Chief Executive of the LDDC, Eric Sorensen, is committed to the urban renewal project and believes the corporation is withdrawing too soon as many projects such as the business park and university will not be completed by 1998. Sorensen is proud of the project and refutes claims that the building work is incoherent and unaesthetic.
