What's wrong with real estate?
Article Abstract:
A survey of portfolio fund managers for pension funds and insurance companies was conducted to examine their views on the risk relative to return on various real estate investment alternatives. Findings indicated that many fund managers see low returns on real estate investments as compared to other investments. They also view all classes of real estate as having high risk relative to its return. In addition, it was shown that some managers believed real estate was one of the worst investments from a risk-return standpoint.
