Labour's capitalist
Article Abstract:
United Kingdom Government Minister for London and Construction Nick Raynsford is supportive of the provision of cheaper housing within the city. He suggests they may be some financial rewards for developers who redevelop brownfield sites. Raynsford's role will disappear if the elections for a London mayor go ahead, in 2000. The new mayor will have a yearly budget of 3 billion pounds sterling. Raynsford will not discuss any of the candidates for the position of mayor. He points out the partial privatisation of the underground will occur before the mayoral elections.
