Workstation options to encourage innovation and productivity
Article Abstract:
The design of an office of the future entails more than the usual architectural and physical considerations. The design will have to revolve around or cater to the sensibilities of the office employee who needs to be reassured that technology is not unnecessarily encroaching into the once intimate and human atmosphere of offices. Thus, flexibility should be the design goal and good management style such as the need for participation, diversity, free expression of personal preferences and privacy should largely determine the design choice.

The future workplace: flexible, adaptable and individual
Article Abstract:
The design of the future workplace has to be radically deviate from present emphasis on standardization and physical layout. Tomorrow's office should be unconstrained by workspace considerations to reflect the speed and flux of changes and give free rein to workers' creativity. The design must attract the best workers and should not be restricted by monetary concerns. The tendency to differentiate office position by spatial design has to be eliminated since such stereotypical concepts stifle free expression and the innovative urge.

Designing work environments that promote corporate productivity
Article Abstract:
The design of work environments should center on the need to attract employees and make them stay, a goal necessary in an increasingly competitive corporate world. A workplace that incites creativity and innovation is one that was designed to be flexible where informal meetings are conducted and team building is the norm. A properly designed office results in improved employee productivity, the benefits of which should offset any occupancy or design costs.
