The city of Verona, Italy, is extremely atmospheric. Visitors to the city in Feb will find that it is cool and uncrowded. It is still mainly enclosed by its 16th century fortifications, and is easy to walk around, being largely pedestrianized. Places which are particularly worth seeing include the arena, Piazza dei Signori and Piazze delle Erbe in the heart of the old city, the churches of San Zeno and Sant'Anastasia and Casa di Giulietta, a 13th century palace of the Capuleti.

Knowing Alan Partridge, knowing Norwich
Article Abstract:
The fictional character Alan Partridge, created by Steve Coogan, has served to boost interest in Norwich, England, through being portrayed as working for Radio Norwich. The city has many attractions, including unspoilt medieval buildings, a cathedral and a wide range of interesting small shops. It is worth walking through the pedestrianized streets to the west of the castle, and it is also interesting to visit St Peter Mancroft, one of the best medieval churches in the city.

The Lake Garda region of Italy has a number of attractive small towns, including Gardone, Gargagno and Salo. Visitors to the region can find a number of links with Mussolini, including his former private residence on the edge of Gargagno, which is now being converted into a luxury hotel. Other attractions include Il Vittoriale, the former home of Gabriele d'Annunzio. This is now an exclusive six-bedroom hotel with a highly regarded restaurant.
