A bit of a stink at the Garrick over Winnie the Pooh's pot of money
Article Abstract:
Disney wishes to purchase the rights for future royalties from A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh for 200 million pounds sterling. This means that the Garrick Club, one of four beneficiaries of the rights, would receive around 50 million pounds sterling. There has been considerable conflict among members of the Garrick Club about how such a large sum of money should be handled. The club's general committee wants members to agree to accept Disney's offer and to use some of the money to form a charitable fund.

Tyranny of the snappers
Article Abstract:
People who like to take photographs of members of their family at every possible opportunity can easily become tyrants within that family. Taking photographs can come to dominate family events and can prevent the family simply enjoying real life. Some social psychologists believe that people who are obsessive about taking photographs feel the need to control situations. These people feel that it will be impossible to remember significant events unless many photographs have been taken.

Why Good Samaritans drove by
Article Abstract:
Most Britons would now hesitate to intervene if they believed that they were seeing a crime taking place, even if it were a serious crime, such as kidnapping or rape. This is particularly common in busy areas, as each individual sees that nobody else has taken any action. However, there are still isolated cases where people are brave enough to intervene, completely overlooking any personal considerations.
