Formula One float threatened by row
Article Abstract:
The planned $4 billion flotation of Formula One will not go ahead unless conflict over the percentage of television rights to be received by leading motor racing teams can be resolved. The dispute over income from television rights has brought Bernie Ecclestone, the founder of Formula One, into conflict with Frank Williams, head of the leading motor racing team. This team has joined Tyrrell and Benetton in refusing to sign the Concorde Agreement, which divides up rights between constructors.

Minister plugs in to power row
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the UK government and the regulators of the electricity and gas industries will be a significant challenge for new Energy and Science Minister John Battle. He has expressed his commitment to putting the interests of consumers before those of shareholders, but this aim may be overshadowed by the extremely complex nature of competition between utilities. It is now widely accepted that domestic power and gas competition will be delayed.
