A long, cool look into deep space
Article Abstract:
The European Space Agency's Infrared Space Observatory (ISO), which will be launched shortly from French Guiana, will be used for research in both the known solar system and in deep space. Scientists hope that it will relay valuable information about the atmospheres of the very large gas planets, about Titan, Saturn's large moon, and about the dirty snowballs which are visible as comets when they approach the Sun. Research will also be undertaken into stars cooler than the Sun.
