Chill out in the larder of France
Article Abstract:
The Bresse region of France is largely undiscovered by tourists. The only sizable city in the region is Bourg-en-Bresse, which has a medieval centre and many good restaurants. Its attractions include a very large Gothic church and monastery. Bresse is made up mainly of scattered towns and villages, and the pace of life is relaxed. It is particularly worth visiting the medieval city of Perouges and the watery area of the Dombes, where there are 1,000 lakes for breeding fish.

Oysters for elevenses?
Article Abstract:
Sete, France, is spread over a number of islands in a lagoon. It has the only real working seaport left in Mediterranean France, and its seafood restaurants are a key attraction for tourists. These restaurants vary considerably in price and in the range of seafood they offer. Sete also has an attractive Saturday market, and those visiting in summer can enjoy water jousting tournaments. Visitors can also enjoy the longest undeveloped beach on the French Mediterranean.
