A prayer in the dark
Article Abstract:
A gay Anglican curate explains why he feels that he has a role to play in the Church of England. He tells of his early awareness of his sexuality, and considers why the images of the divine which are presented by Christianity are often attractive to gay people, particularly men. He feels that the ministry of the Church of England has for too long been done to people, rather than with them. He uses coming out to people as a way of making his relationship with them more mutual.

The truth is, my sin was not very original
Article Abstract:
A parson who was in a very unhappy marriage and then suddenly and completely unexpectedly fell in love with another woman talks about his experiences. He felt extremely uneasy about what had happened, especially as part of his role was to provide a moral model for others. However, he also felt that being so much in love greatly improved his spiritual and pastoral work. He did not feel ashamed, and did not attempt to hide his feelings or even the relationship itself.
