A vast land out of the shadows
Article Abstract:
Libya is an extremely large country, but has a population of only 5 million. Most of the country is desert, but it offers a range of spectacular scenery. Tourists are beginning to become attracted to Libya, but should be aware that it takes some time to come to terms with the vastness of the country and with the lack of information in English. Most visitors to Libya travel on organized tours, which tend to visit the northern littoral Roman and Greek ruins and the ancient settlement at Ghadames.
