A raw deal is better than no deal for Equitable members

The compromise solution being developed by Equitable Life with regard to its guaranteed annuity rates is discussed. It is suggested that holders of policies with guaranteed annuity rates have more incentive to accept the compromise than holders of policies with no guarantee.
