Aerial warfare
Article Abstract:
Many households in Ireland have since the early 1980s been receiving multi-channel television through deflector systems which pick up UK television signals from Northern Ireland. The government issued exclusive licences for multi-channel television to cable companies operating on multipoint microwave distribution system (MMDS) in 1989, and since then these companies have been trying to eliminate deflector systems. The government has responded with plans to allow the operation of legalised deflector systems.
