Flying too close to the sun
Article Abstract:
British Airways is set to see strong financial performance in 1995, with pre-tax profits predicted to rise by almost half to 450 million pounds sterling. However, it could see considerable problems as a result of its continuing feud with Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic Airways. The legal battle is likely to portray British Airways in a poor light, and the media has considerable faith in Richard Branson's ability to cause extensive damage to British Airways.

Trabis' troubled legacy
Article Abstract:
Volkswagen took over East German car manufacturer Trabis, forming a transitional company producing VW Polos in the Trabis factory and building a new factory. In Oct 1992 production will increase from 280 to 400 cars a day. The new factory will use advanced methods comparable to Japanese methods. Zwickau had no proper roads, houses or telephone system before Volkswagen arrived. Ex-Trabant workers are well-treated under capitalism but team-work is the same.
