All strapped up, they've still got somewhere to go
Article Abstract:
A doctor has designed a new wrist splint which helps workers suffering from repetitive strain injury (RSI) to carry on working. Steelite International, a pottery in Staffordshire, United Kingdom, was concerned about skilled workers with RSI leaving their jobs or suing the company for damages. They consulted a doctor who devised the splint which restricts wrist movement while allowing the fingers, elbows and shoulders to move. Although not a cure, the splint eases pain, prevents the condition worsening and lets the affected person remain at work.

Shots at the drug pub
Article Abstract:
Widnes Clinic, Widnes, Cheshire, England opened in 1985 with a policy of maintaining addicts. Prescriptions can be taken hygienically on the premises. This reduces crime and limits the spread of HIV. Newcomers are offered counselling and detoxification in hospital or in the community. The Merseyside Drug Unit prescribes methadone for addicts as it believes drug prescription worsens the addict' s situation.
