As seen on Radio 3
Article Abstract:
The recent Radio 3 series 'The Outline Around the Shadow' was presented by artist, teacher and curator Deanna Petherbridge, professor of drawing at the Royal College of Art. She looked at various aspects of drawing within certain themes, including nature, the body and private and public drawings. It may be assumed that it would be very hard to describe drawings on the radio, but these programmes were actually very effective. The listener was able to accept that visualisation is not an obstacle, as drawings are not simply images.
