As the judge said to Dr Death: 'No one, sir, is above the law.'
Article Abstract:
Euthanasia campaigner and retired pathologist Jack Kevorkian has been sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in jail for murdering a terminally ill man who wished to be relieved of his sufferings. For Kevorkian, the trial was the culmination of a 10-year campaign during which he assisted 133 people in dying. This was the fifth time he had been brought to trial for helping people to commit suicide. In this case, he was found guilty of murder because he had actually applied the needle containing the lethal drug, rather than simply supplying the person he was helping with the means to commit suicide.

She was seventeen-years-old and was in the school library when she was asked by her killer if she believed in God. She was shot when she answered that she did. She went through a difficult time as a young teenager before becoming involved with the Church. She reportedly foresaw her death and was ready to die. The myth of her matrydom has grown to rapidly for questions to be asked about its significance.

The Operation Sunrise anti-crime initiative in Philadelphia, PA, brings together more than 12 local, state and federal agencies. The police are giving a strong message that the city's high crime levels will no longer be tolerated.
