BBC's 280,000 pounds sterling and the dying thoughts of the last Kray
Article Abstract:

How Britain eavesdropped on Dublin
Article Abstract:
The Electronic Test Facility (ETF) operated by the Ministry of Defence in Capenhurst, England, intercepted the international communications of the Irish Republic transmitted from Dublin, Ireland, to Anglesey, Wales, between 1990 and 1998. The signals were carried from Anglesey through the network of microwave radio relay towers operated by British Telecommunications. The ETF was constructed on British Nuclear Fuels Ltd land, but this company was not aware of its purpose.
