Terrible beauty as victims are buried
Article Abstract:
Avril Monaghan was one of the 28 victims of the bombing in Omagh, Northern Ireland, and she was buried with her unborn twins and daughter in St McCartan's Church, County Tyrone. This was the first funeral of the victims of the bombing. Her uncle, Father James Grimes, conducted most of the ceremony, and sought forgiveness for the men who carried out the bombing. Dr Joseph Duffy, Bishop of Clogher asked that the insanity and evil behind the bomb should be honestly confronted.

Tragedy of Ulster's relentless cycle of violence
Article Abstract:
The killings in Belfast on Feb 5, 1992 mirror those of May 2, 1974 when it was a local pub rather than a bookmakers which was bombed. The local community is as shocked by the devastation from yesterday as it was in 1974, and paramilitary organisations are likely to retaliate. A former member of the Ulster Volunteer Force regrets his involvement in the 1974 bombing, but there are no shortage of volunteers for the paramilitary organisations.
