Whispers of immortality
Article Abstract:
Many Caribbean novels would make very successful films, according to poet and playwright Derek Walcott, who was born in St Lucia but is now based in New York, NY. He is now 68, but is still involved in many projects, including filming some scenes from his play 'The Odyssey' and publishing a volume of his watercolours. He feels that writing is a devotional practice for him, and is grateful to have what he regards as a gift for writing.
