BoJ has no more goodies to dispense
Article Abstract:
The Bank of Japan (BoJ) has taken a very bold step in halving its official discount rate to 0.5%. This is intended to revive the country's economy by relieving a number of pressures which are contributing to economic difficulties, and led to an immediate rise in the financial markets. However, some observers believe that this move, although boosting morale in the short term, will not be effective in the long term.

Sayonara to Tokyo's camp followers
Article Abstract:
The gay bars and clubs in Tokyo's East Shinjuku district have traditionally attracted young women who enjoy the company of gay men, whom they see as interesting and unthreatening. However, the gay men are starting to rebel against the attentions of these women, feeling that they are simply being used and patronised. Many establishments are now refusing to allow these young women to enter any more.
