Boldly going in search of Planet X
Article Abstract:
Nasa hopes that at least one of the two Pioneer and two Voyager space probes which are currently travelling into the unknown depths of interstellar space will retain enough energy to send back data to Earth. Many scientists believe that there is something undiscovered beyond the most distant planets, while others deny the existence of a Planet X. In the long term, it will not be possible to track these probes, but it is known that they will come close to some of the nearest stars.

Alien Encounter?
Article Abstract:
The Encounter spacecraft, one of a series of satellites to be launched into Earth orbit by an Ariane 5 rocket in 2001, will carry DNA samples from 4.5 million humans. Encounter 2001, the company responsible for this project, will charge people $50 to submit six strands of hair, a digitized picture and a short message for launch. Some scientists are expressing reservations about the project, as they fear that human DNA could be picked up by an alien form of life.
