In 1999 the consumption of bottled water added up to 985mn liters, valued at [pounds sterling]450mn, a rise of 39% and 34% in terms of volume and value since 1995. The market for bottled water comprises sparkling natural minerals waters, spring water, table water and flavored water. Evian Volvic is the market leader, followed by Nestle and Highland Spring. With consumption of bottled water likely to increase by 55% to 2004, the UK market offers great potential.

VCRs and DVD players
Article Abstract:
The domestic retail sales of VCRs and DVD players amounted to 3mn and 67,000 units respectively, in 1998/99. Matsushita is the topmost supplier of VCRs, with Sony and Matsui its nearest rivals. During the period 1999-2003, sales of VCRs and DVD players are initially expected to rise due to digital television, cable and satellite analogue, but are forecast to decline subsequent to the launch of DVD-R players.
