George Wallace
Article Abstract:
Lawyer and politician George Wallace began studying at the University of Alabama Law School in 1937. On completing his studies, he served as a flight engineer on a B-29 bomber in the Pacific. After the second world war, he served as assistant state attorney general, and was also elected to the Alabama legislature. He was Governor of Alabama between 1963 and 1967, between 1971 and 1979 and between 1983 and 1987. He was the target of an assassination attempt in May 1972, and was left paralysed in both legs.

John Ehrlichman
Article Abstract:
Lawyer, government official and novelist John Ehrlichman served in the air force during the second world war. He then studied at the University of California, where he met Bob Haldeman, with whom he was later to protect President Richard Nixon from his enemies. He managed Nixon's White House campaigns in 1960 and 1968, and later became a very effective bureaucrat. He became most well known for his involvement in the Watergate scandal, which led to him serving 18 months in prison.

Lawyer and politician John Lindsay was born in New York, NY, in 1921. He began his working life at law firm Webster and Sheffield in 1948, and was Mayor of New York between 1966 and 1973.
