Boycott faces the final maiden over
Article Abstract:
Former cricketer Geoffrey Boycott is likely to see his career as a commentator come to an end if he fails to win his appeal against his conviction earlier in 1998 for assaulting Margaret Moore, his former lover. Boycott has attracted considerable controversy throughout his career. He was undoubtedly a very talented cricketer, but some observers believe that he was obsessed with his own performance, giving little attention to team spirit and helping younger players. He reveals little about himself, but this is possibly because his life has been relatively uneventful.
