Revealed: New evidence that might free Myra Hindley
Article Abstract:
Myra Hindley, who with Ian Brady was jailed for life in May 1966 for the murder of several children, is now seeking to convince the Court of Appeal that she should be released from jail. She plans to produce new evidence indicating that she took part in the murders because she was abused and threatened by Brady. She believes that photographs of her with whip and cane marks and bruises, which were found in Brady's possession when he was arrested, still exist.

'Brady told me that I would be in a grave too if I backed out.' (Myra Hindley)
Article Abstract:
Myra Hindley, who was convicted for assisting Ian Brady in the murder of several children in the early 1960s, claims that she only became involved because she was threatened by Brady, whose aggression towards her had dehumanized her. She believes that she was under duress and abuse before, during and after the murders. He raped and physically abused her, and warned her that he would take action against her family if she did not assist him with the murders.
