Breast cancer: how to men cope?
Article Abstract:
Men whose partners are diagnosed as suffering from breast cancer receive very little psychological or practical support, and are often left feeling helpless and confused. This contrasts strongly with the greatly improved psychological support which is now available to women with breast cancer. In response to this problem, a group of men who have had experience of a partner with breast cancer have set up the Partner Volunteer service, which supports men in this position.

Come to the cafe: chill out in style
Article Abstract:
The Cafe de Paris in Leicester Square, London, England, was extremely popular in the 1920s and 1930s, when it attracted the cream of London society. It was hit by a bomb in 1941, and 80 people were killed. It operated as a nightclub in the following decades, and enjoyed a revival in popularity in 1986-1990. It has now been reopened by new owner Nick Truelocke, who aims to recreate the glamour with which it was associated in its early years.

How wigless advocates cope with the chill factor
Article Abstract:
UK solicitors now have the right to appear as advocates in the higher courts, but they find that they are still seen as inferior to barristers. There have been reports of prejudice among judges against solicitors, and some solicitors feel that clients using solicitor advocates could be in danger of not receiving a fair trial. There is particular concern over the question of whether solicitors should wear wigs, as barristers do.
