Brendan Croker is a genius
Article Abstract:
Dead pop artists such as Bob Marley and Kurt Cobain are fascinating as they improved other people's lives, often at the expense of their own, according to singer-songwriter Brendan Croker. His Dying To Sing week-long series of concerts at the Twelve Bar Club in London, England, will be a tribute to the work of dead pop artists. He does not really feel drawn to success, although he believes that he has had the potential to make big-selling records. He has begun to feel that he has made too many records, and is not planning a new album.

There are many signs of a strong cultural revival in Ireland. Pop groups from Ireland have established an international reputation, while Ireland is also enjoying considerable international success in areas including film-making, comedy and theatre. This is the context in which 'From the Heart,' the second festival of Irish music and culture to be staged at the Barbican Centre in London, England, is taking place. Performers will include poet Seamus Heaney and folk-revivalist Tommy Makem.
