British '99ers join the Irish gold rush
Article Abstract:
There has been an increase in the number of British people emigrating to Ireland, some of whom have family from Ireland, while others seek a life that is less stressful. Ireland's economy has grown in the 1990s, with European grants as well as investments by Dell Computing and Microsoft in Dublin. Companies have also relocated from Northern Ireland in order to avoid a strong pound sterling and gain from operating in a country that is part of European monetary union.
